Thanks for making it to the end of my website! Andy and I had a wonderful trip and creating this website was a great way to relive it.
This is a fabulous tour; we could not have accomplished all these experiences on our own. Thank you very much to Julie for her excellent guiding skills, Philippe for his superb navigation skills and Rick Steves for putting it all together.
If I could offer a few pieces of advise:
Merci beaucoup and au revoir!

If I could offer a few pieces of advise:
- Pack light! Andy and I have traveled to Europe 3 times for trips over two weeks long and we have each only had a carry on sized suitcase and a backpack. That is all. It is very freeing to not be encumbered by heavy luggage especially since many places in Europe do not have elevators, but do have lots of stairs!
- Embrace the moment. You have come a long way to enjoy Europe, so enjoy it! Have that second glass of wine, pay a few extra euros to get to the very top of the Eiffel tour, and try that foie gras! You don't go on vacation to save money, so try not to sweat the small stuff.
- Get a credit card that doesn't charge any international fees. We got the Capital One Quicksilver card (the one that Samuel L. Jackson advertises). Just like in America, most everyone accepts plastic. For larger purchases and automated one, we thought the credit card was just as easy as back home.
- Try the local food; it is all part of the experience. If you came to visit me in Austin, TX I would serve you Tex-Mex and BBQ so give the snails a shot!
Merci beaucoup and au revoir!
